Celebrate Love Chicago is Jeffrey Sumber!

As a graduate of Harvard Divinity School, an ordained minister, a licensed psychotherapist, and a university professor, I love to celebrate couples in love by supporting them in having their special day be unique and vibrant as well as fun and sacred.

I serve as a wedding officiant because I enjoy helping couples create ceremonies they love. Weddings are not my primary profession: I have a thriving private psychotherapy practice in Chicago and I teach undergraduate psychology at National-Louis University. I have fun getting to know couples, helping them create a beautiful commitment ceremony as well as provide them with premarital couples counseling if they choose.

Academically, I hold a Masters in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School in Cambridge, MA and a Masters in Transpersonal Psychology from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM. I have explored a number of religious and spiritual traditions for professional and personal motivations, and I feel well qualified to facilitate your nuptual vows and sacred commitment.
